Ayurveda is the healing side of yoga. It comes from the ancient vedic texts and literally means “the science of life.” It is a complete body, mind, spirit approach to health and well-being. According to Ayurveda, when we learn to live in harmony with our environment, our body's potential to heal is maximized.
The tools of Ayurveda include:
- Diet and lifestyle
- Herbs
- Yoga & Meditation
- Aroma Therapy
- Color Therapy
- Sound Therapy
The ancient rishi’s believed that all things in the world are made up of one or a combination of five elements and that each person expresses a unique combination of these elements. Therefore, finding balance in health, mind and spirit (because they are all connected) through five sense therapies involves understanding one’s own unique combination of these elements (your constitution or prakruti).
My goal as an Ayurveda practitioner is to:
- Understand your constitution
- Understand the nature of any imbalances
- Develop a plan using the tools of Ayurveda to bring you back into balance
Initial Consultation & Report of Findings (two meetings)....$165
- Learn your prakruti (unique constitution) and vikruti (current state based on imbalances/symptoms) along with recommendations based on five sense therapies
Follow-up visits....$95
- Assure proper support and supervision, provide encouragement and creative support, check on progress, adjust herbs (as needed), make new recommendations.
