Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha
I prostrate to the Liberator, Mother of all the Victorious Ones.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha is an ancient mantra that is related to Tara, the “Mother of all Buddhas,” and especially to her manifestation as Greeen Tara. Tara, who Tibetans also call Dolma, is commonly thought to be a Bodhisatva or Buddha or compassion and action, a protector who comes to our aid to relieve us of physical, emotional and spiritual suffering.

January
Sa Ta Na Ma
Truth is our identity.
A derivative of Sat Nam, this mantra originates in the Kundalini Yoga tradition and works to open the mind and enable transformational change. It is a combination of mudra (hand movements) and mantra (sound.)
Sa = birth Ta = life Na = death Ma = rebirth
Representative of the cycle of life, this mantra helps overcome samskara (karmic grooves/tendencies) and in one study has demonstrated improvement in cognition, general memory and attention. It alleviates depression and enhances brain chemistry. This is an important and practical mantra for the start of the New Year!

Aum
This sound is sometimes called the Udgitha or pranava mantra (primordial mantra), because it is considered to be the primordial vibration of the entire universe including ourselves.
Symbolically the three letters embody the divine energy of Shakti and its three main characteristics: (1) creation, (2) preservation, and (3) liberation.
November
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya
I bow to the Ultimate Reality, Vāsudeva.
Known as "the hymn of liberation." This mantra is understood to be a moksha or mukti (liberation) mantra, recited as a way to achieve spiritual freedom from samsara, or the recurring cycle of death and reincarnation. It is of devotional nature to both Vishnu and Krishna. Bhagavate represents a person who is in the process of becoming divine.
October
Om Mani Padme Hum
The jewel is in the lotus.
Clear the mind and release karma. Connect with your innate loving and compassionate nature. Heal and purify. Perhaps the most powerful piece of this mantra is its unifying intention. Chanting in a group can activate community and release ego. This mantra is both personal and global, and has the ability to transcend all that we know.

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu
May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.
