Mala Making for Good (Virtual)
10 am - 12 pm PST
with Grace Kendrick and Angie Hamstead
Mala is a Sanskrit term meaning “meditation garland” and was developed to keep the mind focused on the practice of meditation. In this workshop, you will get everything you need to create a beautiful mala to use as a tool for your meditation practice. On November 1, we will meet virtually to bless the beads, make the malas, and learn the significance of chanting as a form of prayer. Our time together will culminate in a chant for compassion.
My amazing friend and co-leader (Angie) lives in Knoxville, TN and we will be connecting coast-to-coast as we intend for loving-kindness and compassion in our country and the world. Proceeds from this workshop will benefit the YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley and the Bill Wilson Center in San Jose, CA. $108 - includes all mala making materials and two-hour guided session. First come, first serve on bead selection... so hurry! |
